Marvin has officially commenced operations at its new 400,000-square-foot manufacturing facility
in Kansas City, Kansas, dedicated to the production and assembly of its advanced fiberglass window and door solutions. The facility, located at 9820
Leavenworth Road, not only enhances Marvin s capacity to deliver
high-performance fiberglass products
but also brings 70 new jobs to the
region, reinforcing the company s commitment to innovation, quality, and local
growth.
Paul Marvin, CEO of Marvin says, With production
underway at our newest manufacturing facility, Marvin is entering an exciting
stage in our development in Kansas City. Last year, we collaborated with local
leaders to map out a vision for Marvin s growth in the area and our commitment
to the community and its talented workforce. That vision has come to life, and
we look forward to seeing it continue to evolve and grow.
Since beginning construction on the facility last spring, Marvin has hired 70
full-time team members in Kansas City, with hiring to continue in the months
ahead. With progressive annual growth, Marvin anticipates a 600-person
workforce in Kansas City by the close of 2028.
Marvin s choice to expand their business in Kansas City is key in helping our
community further establish a promising employment pipeline to attract and
retain the next generation of modern manufacturing talent locally, said Dr.
Greg Mosier, Kansas City Kansas Community College President. Strong
employers and economic development go hand in hand. We ve seen over the past
year how Marvin s dedication to both innovation and employee well-being will
support Kansas City s continued growth, and I look forward to a long-term
relationship that helps our graduates and our community thrive.
Established in 1912, Marvin continues to operate as a family-owned and -led
company in its founding headquarters of Warroad, Minnesota.
We re grateful for the warm welcome we ve received from Wyandotte County, and
it s been incredible to see the talent we ve cultivated locally in such a short
period of time, said Darrin Peterson, president of Marvin. The
community s commitment to education and economic development is clear, and I m
energized by the possibilities for our continued collaboration.
Designed with employee well-being in mind, Marvin s custom-built facility
features thoughtful details including climate-controlled manufacturing space,
exterior patios, LED lighting paired with natural light throughout and electric
forklifts for reduced indoor air pollution. The space also offers employee
amenities including bright, spacious break rooms with food and beverage options
and convenient on-site personal storage.
Completing this facility on time and on budget would not have been possible without the dedication of our exceptional local build partners. We re grateful for the collaboration from Scannell Properties, JLL, Finkle + Williams Architecture, Olsson, Kadean Construction and many others, said Robert Conchola, director of operations for Marvin in Kansas City. As our space has taken shape, so has our incredible team. Their passion and talent is tangible, and I m inspired by their drive as we begin production here in Kansas City.
Marvin has been nationally recognized as a top employer, offering unique benefits like its 67-year-old profit sharing program through which more than $410 million has been shared with employees. In 2024, Marvin employees received increased paid time-off flexibility, including an additional day of paid time off for anything that supports employee well-being on the day of their choice. Marvin s benefits package extends to on-site mental health services and the company s Brighter Days Fund, which provides financial assistance in times of hardship.
