    Eaton has inaugurated its European Aerospace Additive Manufacturing Center in Brno, Czech Republic, strengthening its advanced manufacturing capabilities for the commercial and defense aerospace sectors. The new facility is designed to accelerate the development and production of additively manufactured aircraft components while improving regional supply chain responsiveness.

    The center brings together engineering, design, qualification, manufacturing, and testing capabilities under one roof, enabling Eaton to streamline the production of complex aerospace parts. By expanding its additive manufacturing footprint in Europe, the company aims to shorten product development cycles, increase manufacturing flexibility, and provide localized support for customers across the region.

    The facility will produce lightweight, high-performance aerospace components using advanced metal additive manufacturing technologies. These processes allow engineers to create complex geometries that are difficult to achieve through conventional machining while reducing material waste, consolidating multiple parts into single structures, and improving overall system performance and reliability.

    The new center will support a broad range of aerospace applications, including fuel systems, hydraulic systems, air management systems, and engine-related components, helping meet the growing demand for next-generation aircraft technologies.

    Eaton also plans to further enhance the site's capabilities to support larger-scale production for commercial and military aerospace programs. Future expansion is expected to include titanium additive manufacturing and electron beam additive manufacturing (EBAM) technologies, while the facility is progressing toward AS9100 aerospace quality certification, a key industry standard for aerospace manufacturing.

    Eaton expects to expand the facility s capabilities to further boost its ability to support high-reliability commercial and military programs at scale, said Mike York, director of additive manufacturing and digital design, Aerospace Group, Eaton. Based on customer requirements and operational readiness, the company anticipates using titanium and electron beam additive processes and is working towards achieving rigorous AS9100 aerospace quality certification.

    The investment forms part of Eaton's broader strategy to expand its global additive manufacturing network and strengthen support for increasingly complex aerospace programs. By combining advanced digital engineering with localized production, the company aims to improve manufacturing efficiency while enabling faster qualification and delivery of critical aircraft components.

    As aerospace manufacturers continue adopting additive manufacturing for lightweight, optimized structures, the new European center positions Eaton to support the industry's transition toward more agile, efficient, and digitally enabled production technologies.
