Siemens Digital Industries Software announced that Skyroot Aerospace, India s pioneering private space launch service company, has adopted Polarion software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to digitally transform its software development processes. The move is set to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and compliance as Skyroot advances toward commercial orbital launches with its Vikram series rockets.

Founded in 2018, Skyroot has rapidly grown into a 500-strong team of space professionals. The company made history in 2022 with Vikram-S, the first privately developed rocket from India to reach space and is now preparing for its first orbital mission with Vikram-1. By leveraging advanced technologies such as carbon composites and 3D-printed engines, Skyroot aims to provide affordable, on-demand, and versatile launch solutions.

With Polarion, Skyroot will unify its software and systems development workflows, strengthen traceability, and streamline lifecycle management for its aerospace systems. Polarion provides a seamless solution to manage our software workflows, allowing our team to focus on what they do best, said Naga Bharath Daka, Co-founder & COO, Skyroot Aerospace.

Skyroot Aerospace is a true pioneer in the Indian space industry, and it s a testament to its vision that it is adopting Polarion to accelerate its digital transformation, said Mathew Thomas, VP & Managing Director for India, Siemens Digital Industries Software.

This collaboration underscores Siemens role as a trusted partner in India s fast-growing private space sector, enabling innovators like Skyroot to push the boundaries of next generation launch vehicle technology.
