SkyDrive Inc., a leading eVTOL aircraft manufacturer, has entered into a collaboration with DUC H lices Propellers to develop composite rotors for the SKYDRIVE Model SD-05. The partnership underscores SkyDrive s mission to lead the mobility revolution by making urban air mobility (UAM) a part of everyday life.

DUC H lices Propellers, a specialist in carbon composite propellers and rotors, brings nearly 30 years of expertise in aerodynamics and composite materials, backed by EASA and FAA certifications.

The SKYDRIVE SD-05 features 12 motors and three-bladed rotors, where precise distributed propulsion ensures lift, thrust, and attitude control while contributing to noise reduction, redundancy, and safety.

By jointly developing flight-critical rotors, the companies aim to accelerate testing, certification readiness, and the delivery of safe, reliable eVTOL aircraft.

    Comments:

    • Arnaud Coville, CDO of SkyDrive: DUC H lices has proven incredibly agile, delivering initial products within four months that already perform strongly on our test rigs.
    • Vincent Duqueine, President of DUC H lices: Designing rotors for SkyDrive s eVTOL is a major opportunity to apply our composite expertise and help shape the future of air mobility with quiet, safe solutions.
