Novafast, a family-owned composites
manufacturer, has been awarded the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials
category at the 2025 South Australian Premier s Business and Export
Awards, recognizing its global export growth and investment in world-class
manufacturing technologies. The win qualifies Novafast for the National
Export Awards, set to take place at Parliament House in Canberra this
November.
Specializing in glass
fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP), epoxy (GRE), and vinyl ester (GRVE) products,
Novafast uses advanced filament and helical winding technologies to
deliver solutions that combat corrosion in challenging environments. It is the only
GRE pipe manufacturer in Australia and the country s only company certified
to test composite pipes to ISO 14692:2017 standards. Its flagship
product, the NovaFlo 2000M GRE pipe, is available in a conductive
variant suitable for LNG, oil, and petrochemical industries where static charge
control is critical.
Exporting to North America,
Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, Novafast continues to scale globally,
recently securing a direct vendor registration with Saudi Aramco and
achieving Lloyds Register approvals, which helped it land a major piping
supply project in Vietnam.
This recognition validates our
strategy of leveraging cutting-edge technology to compete on the global stage
while creating jobs and supporting local industry here in South Australia,
said David Figallo, business and strategy manager at Novafast,
highlighting the company s adoption of Industry 4.0 automated robotic
manufacturing and its leadership in defense composites.
