Mangohojden AB, a privately held Swedish company aiming to build a portfolio of specialist aerospace and defense businesses, has acquired Slingsby Advanced Composites Ltd. from Marshall Group.

Founded in 1931 and owned by Marshall Group since 2010, Slingsby is a leading provider of complex composite structures and assemblies for land, air, and sea defense platforms. The company recently expanded capacity with the installation of a fourth autoclave to meet increasing demand from defense customers.

Marshall Group is a global supplier of advanced structures and subsystems for demanding civil and military applications, known for delivering robust solutions for extreme land and maritime environments.

Slingsby Advanced Composites is well-positioned to support the U.K. and European defense industry as it adapts to the new reality with increased investments and reliance on domestic supply, said Torbj rn Johansson, Mangohojden board member. Our ambition is to establish a group of niche companies in the defense and aerospace sector, combining capabilities and capital to meet growing market demand.

The acquisition aligns with Mangohojden s strategy to build a network of specialized European defense and aerospace companies capable of addressing rising regional and global requirements.
