Toray Industries, through its subsidiary Toray Composite Materials America, has entered into a long-term carbon fiber supply agreement with Syensqo, targeting aerospace applications. The agreement, effective from January 2026, spans five years and focuses on securing consistent supply of high-performance carbon fiber and prepreg materials.

The partnership is engineered to strengthen supply stability across aircraft, space, and defense programs, segments where material consistency is non-negotiable. Both companies are aligning capabilities to de-risk procurement cycles and reinforce global supply chain resilience amid increasing geopolitical and raw material volatility.

Through this agreement, both companies will work to enhance supply stability and resilience across aircraft, space & defense applications, thereby strengthening the global supply chain and contributing to long-term market growth.

With the recovery of global passenger demand and progress in next-generation aircraft development, the aircraft market is expected to maintain stable medium- to long-term growth. The renewal and advancement of aircraft is also continuing to progress, thus driving firm growth in carbon fiber demand.
