Indore Composite has unveiled a new advanced composites manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, marking an expansion of its production and research capabilities in India. The company announced the development through a LinkedIn post, highlighting a ₹300 crore investment in manufacturing infrastructure focused on carbon and glass fiber composite technologies.

The facility spans 35 acres, with 300,000 sq. ft. of built-up area planned in the first phase. Its manufacturing infrastructure will incorporate AI-enabled production systems and advanced pultrusion technologies for carbon and glass fiber composites. The site will also house an R&D Centre of Excellence to support material development and manufacturing innovation.

The facility is designed to address demand from the wind energy and power transmission industries, where pultruded composites are used in applications requiring lightweight construction, mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and electrical insulation. Carbon and glass fiber reinforcement offer different performance characteristics for these applications, allowing manufacturers to develop components suited to specific structural and operational requirements.

The investment forms part of Indore Composite’s strategy to expand domestic manufacturing of advanced composite solutions and reduce dependence on imported materials and components. The company also aims to supply customers in international markets through the new facility.

The project is expected to create more than 600 employment opportunities. By combining automated manufacturing, pultrusion capabilities and dedicated R&D infrastructure, the Halol facility will expand India's production capacity for advanced composites used in energy and electrical infrastructure applications.
