Syensqo has announced that its advanced composite materials have been selected for Bell Textron's MV-75 Cheyenne, the U.S. Army's next-generation long-range assault aircraft being developed under the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program. The company will provide a portfolio of aerospace composite technologies designed to support lightweight structural performance, durability, and manufacturing efficiency for the new military tiltrotor platform.

The material package includes CYCOM 5250-4HT high-temperature prepreg, CYCOM EP2750 epoxy resin, and FM 299-1 structural adhesive. These advanced materials are intended for use in critical aircraft structures where weight reduction, mechanical performance, and long-term durability are essential.

According to Syensqo, the selected materials are engineered to withstand demanding operational environments while helping improve aircraft efficiency and structural reliability. The composite systems also support the production of complex aerospace components that require high strength-to-weight performance and resistance to fatigue and environmental exposure.

The MV-75 Cheyenne will replace portions of the U.S. Army's aging UH-60 Black Hawk fleet and is expected to deliver substantially greater speed, range, and operational flexibility through its tiltrotor configuration. The aircraft is designed to enable faster troop transport and extended mission reach while operating in increasingly challenging battlefield environments.

The MV-75 Cheyenne represents the future of military vertical lift, and we are proud that our advanced composite materials will contribute to this next-generation aircraft. Our long-standing collaboration with Bell demonstrates how innovative material technologies can help deliver lighter, stronger and more durable aerospace structures capable of meeting demanding defense requirements, said Gaurav Unni, Global Sales Leader for Aerospace Composites at Syensqo.

By supplying advanced prepregs, resin systems, and structural adhesives, Syensqo continues to expand its role in military aerospace programs where lightweight composite materials are increasingly replacing conventional metallic structures to improve payload capacity, fuel efficiency, and mission performance.

The latest selection further reinforces the growing adoption of high-performance composite materials in next-generation defense aircraft as manufacturers seek to balance structural strength, durability, and manufacturing efficiency while meeting evolving military operational requirements.
