Lutz Holding, a Germany-based provider of industrial pump and fluid management systems, has expanded into Italy with the launch of Lutz-Jesco Italia S.r.l. in Milan. The company supplies pumping, dosing, and water treatment technologies for chemical handling and industrial applications, including systems that incorporate fibre-reinforced polymer components.

Lutz Holding s pump portfolio includes designs that use carbon fibre- and glass fibre-reinforced polymer materials to improve corrosion resistance and structural performance. Air-operated diaphragm (AODD) pumps and magnetic-driven centrifugal pump bodies are manufactured using injection-moulded polypropylene (PP) or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) reinforced with carbon or glass fibres. The company also offers CFR pumps for explosion-proof applications, based on a standard fibreglass construction.

Italy has a strong industrial base and is one of the key markets in Southern Europe for water and wastewater technology, chemical dosing and environmental technology, says Susanne Maurer, member of the management board of Lutz Holding GmbH and CEO of Lutz-Jesco Italia Srl. In these sectors, the group s industrial pumps and water treatment technologies are playing an increasingly important role. The new branch office strengthens our local presence, enabling us to assist customers in Italy more effectively throughout the entire process from planning and commissioning to after-sales service.

The expansion builds on an existing partnership with Italian pump manufacturer ARGAL and provides access to Lutz Holding s full range of pumping, dosing, and disinfection systems. These technologies are used across industries such as water and wastewater treatment, chemical processing, and environmental management.

The Italian market represents a key growth area for fluid handling and treatment systems, driven by industrial demand and regulatory requirements for environmental performance. Establishing a local presence enables Lutz Holding to support customers more closely across system design, installation, and lifecycle management.

For the composites industry, the development highlights the use of fibre-reinforced polymers in fluid handling equipment exposed to aggressive media. Carbon and glass fibre-reinforced thermoplastics such as PP and PVDF offer a combination of chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and durability, supporting their adoption in pump housings and critical system components.
