JEKTA, a Swiss manufacturer, has commenced flight trials with a 1:9-scaled prototype of its zero-emission all-composite PHA-ZE 100 amphibious aircraft. The aircraft features an all-composite fuselage and is powered by hydrogen fuel cells.
George Alafinov, CEO of JEKTA, commented on the significance of the flight trials for the development programme. The company has secured over $1 billion in pre-orders and plans full-scale production at its Payerne facility by 2028/29.
