Epsilon Composite has announced the acquisition of its long-standing Italian partner, Cometec S.r.l, marking a strategic move to reinforce its presence in the European composites sector. Cometec, renowned for its expertise in designing and producing carbon fiber technical rollers, will enhance Epsilon's capabilities in delivering high-performance composite solutions for industrial applications. The acquisition not only deepens Epsilon's manufacturing base in Italy but also aligns with its broader growth strategy to expand advanced carbon fiber technologies across global markets.

Based in Busto Arsizio, Cometec has been collaborating with Epsilon for more than 30 years. This acquisition strengthens the industrial and commercial ties between the two companies and marks a new milestone in their shared journey.

Cometec will continue to operate under its own brand and maintain its operational independence. By combining Cometec's Italian know-how with Epsilon Composite's patented technologies, such as Pullwinding and K1, this alliance will enable both companies to deliver high-performance, cost-competitive carbon rollers to machine manufacturers in Europe and worldwide, supported by an optimized supply chain and local service for Italian customers.

Lucia Sarasini, Managing Director of Cometec, said the union with Epsilon is the natural outcome of a long-standing collaboration, built on trust and a shared vision. She noted that customers will see no operational changes, but will benefit from significant technological advancements thanks to the synergies with Epsilon Composite, representing growth for both companies.

This operation, Epsilon Composite's first external growth, is fully financed with its own funds. It follows the company's capital increase in 2024, which brought its long-time partner Sumitomo Corporation (Japan) in as a minority shareholder.

Stéphane Lullé, Founder and President of Epsilon Composite, added that he is proud to honour the memory of Gianni and Silvia by ensuring the continuity of the wonderful story of friendship and collaboration initiated between Cometec and Epsilon over 30 years ago, strengthening the ability to enhance performance and competitiveness for customers in Italy and around the world.

This acquisition reaffirms the strength of a partnership built on shared values, trust, and innovation, enabling both companies to continue supporting industrial clients with advanced composite solutions.
