Electric aviation company Bye Aerospace has partnered with carbon fiber manufacturer Composite Approach to build the first structural composite aircraft for the eFlyer 2's inaugural electric flight. The eFlyer series targets the pilot-training market with lower operating costs, strong performance and zero-emission electric propulsion.

The eFlyer 2 will feature what Bye Aerospace describes as the first EASA-certified electric engine paired with high-density batteries in an aerodynamically efficient, purpose-built airframe. Bye Aerospace's CEO called the partnership a turning point for electric aviation, combining the company's aircraft design with Composite Approach's lightweight composite manufacturing expertise, while Composite Approach's CEO said the project reflects a shared push to advance composite technology alongside sustainable aviation.
