Breton has introduced Genesi, a breakthrough hybrid manufacturing platform that merges large format fused deposition modelling (FDM) with high-speed CNC milling, delivering a paradigm shift in mould and pattern production.
The Genesi system can handle parts up to 30m×5m×2.5m and achieves extrusion rates of up to 200 kg/h, dramatically reducing lead times compared to traditional subtractive-only or additive-only approaches.
At the core of Genesi is CANOVA AI software, which intelligently manages the transition between deposition and milling cycles, optimising tool paths and surface quality in real time.
Breton highlights five key benefits of the system: reduced raw material waste, shorter production cycles, improved surface finish, greater geometric freedom, and lower total cost of ownership.
