In a significant
development for advanced composites manufacturing, Belotti S.p.A. and Moi
Composites S.r.l. have formalized a strategic partnership to co-develop the
Belotti Powered by Moi hybrid manufacturing platform designed
for additive and subtractive manufacturing of thermoset matrix composites,
combining large-format additive and CNC
subtractive machining to process thermoset matrix composites with improved
precision, speed, and design flexibility.
This integrated
digital approach targets fibre-reinforced thermoset composite components
crucial to aerospace, marine, automotive, and energy sectors, enabling faster
time-to-market, enhanced mechanical and thermal performance, and streamlined
production workflows a notable step toward industrial digitalisation in
composites fabrication ahead of its presentation at JEC World 2026.
The two Lombard companies, active for years in the field of
large format additive manufacturing (LFAM), have combined their respective
strengths and expertise to create a new hybrid technology (3D
printing and CNC milling) dedicated to processing fiber reinforced
thermoset composite materials.
The reliability and robustness of Belotti CNC machining centers meet the pioneering approach of Moi Composites (tech provider and spin off of Politecnico di Milano) to offer companies in the aerospace, marine, energy, and automotive sectors a unique industrial manufacturing technology: Belotti Powered by Moi , aimed at reducing time to market, increasing precision, and simplifying production processes.
This synergy paves the way for rapid and serial production of components with superior mechanical and thermal performance, combined with unprecedented design flexibility and production reliability. The new hybrid platform Belotti Powered by Moi will be officially presented at the JEC World exhibition in Paris.
