Vertical Aerospace has signed a long-term strategic partnership with Aciturri Aerostructures to manufacture the airframe for its electric and hybrid-electric VX4 eVTOL aircraft. Under the agreement, Aciturri will supply the complete airframe, including wing, empennage, pylons, and fuselage, for both pre-production and certified aircraft and will take on engineering responsibility for several structural components.

The VX4 features a fixed-wing configuration with four forward-tilting propellers for vertical and cruise flight. Its fuselage, developed in collaboration with Syensqo and Leonardo, and tilt-shift propellers incorporate advanced carbon fiber composites. Aciturri, recognized globally for its expertise in composite aerostructures, brings nearly 50 years of commercial aerospace experience, including work on Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer programs, as well as eVTOL projects for Eve Air Mobility and Lilium.

The partnership is part of Vertical s Flightpath 2030 plan, enabling long-lead parts procurement and advancing the VX4 toward certification and mass production. It follows Vertical s expanded Honeywell partnership for flight control and management systems and recent airport-to-airport flight milestones.
