Swancor is proud to support National Tsing Hua University’s (NTHU) Racing Team as it unveils its 10th-generation electric formula car, 'THX'. This latest innovation is faster and lighter than ever, driven by cutting-edge carbon fiber technologies that redefine performance standards in student motorsport.

According to NTHU Racing Team vice-captain Shu-Wei Shen, the THX car achieved two breakthroughs:

      • 7 kg weight reduction due to the carbon fiber monocoque replacing the previous aluminum structure
      • 18 kg saved with 10-inch carbon fiber wheels and an ultra-lightweight wheel-end system

Swancor has contributed its expertise across every step of the development, providing high-temperature autoclaves, advanced R&D materials, and technical guidance on composite manufacturing to help the team produce carbon fiber components meeting the highest motorsport requirements.

“This project is about more than performance; it’s about building a talent pipeline fluent in engineering, innovation, and sustainability,” said a Swancor spokesperson.

The THX electric formula car will compete this August at the Formula Student events in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Germany, where it will also demonstrate autonomous driving capabilities.
