XTI Aerospace, a leading innovator in vertical
takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft,
welcomed President Trump’s recent Executive Order aimed at accelerating
domestic drone production and advancing U.S. capabilities in the fast-growing
electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) and advanced air mobility (AAM)
sectors.
The Executive Order highlights the growing significance of VTOL technologies in supporting both national defense and commercial innovation. “The Executive Order recognizes what many of us in the aerospace industry see every day: the future of air mobility, both civilian and defense, depends on agility and vertical, runway-independent capability,” said Scott Pomeroy, Chairman and CEO of XTI Aerospace.
Pomeroy emphasized that the TriFan 600 aligns with federal goals to expand advanced aviation platforms, particularly those not dependent on fully electric infrastructure. “VTOL aircraft are central to next-generation drone and urban air mobility systems, and the TriFan’s hybrid capabilities enable immediate deployment across both public and private sectors,” he added.
The Executive Order directs the Secretary of Transportation, in coordination with the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), to expand pilot programs supporting advanced aviation aircraft, a move XTI views as a strategic opening for platforms like the TriFan 600 and future unmanned VTOL systems.
As government and industry align around the promise of advanced air mobility, XTI Aerospace’s versatile, infrastructure-ready VTOL solutions stand to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation and national preparedness.
