Mikrosam, a composites automation leader, is advancing the global adoption of fully integrated filament winding lines, delivering solutions to customers in the US, Germany, China, India, Africa, and beyond. Unlike standalone machines, these automated systems integrate every production stage from fibre delivery and resin impregnation to curing, unloading, and inspection into a seamless, digitally coordinated flow.

The lines enable manufacturers to produce LPG and CNG cylinders, hydrogen storage tanks (Type II-IV), water filtration vessels, and high-performance pipes for oil, gas, and aerospace with precision and scalability. Key performance indicators such as cycle time, throughput, material efficiency, uptime, and mandrel flow are central to their design.

Mikrosam's proprietary control system ensures real-time monitoring, recipe management, and error diagnostics, while modular upgrades support manufacturers as they scale from prototyping to mass production. With automation reducing manual handling and enhancing efficiency, the company highlights how operators' roles evolve toward process optimisation and software supervision rather than physical labour.

Complementing robotic handling, Mikrosam also integrates robust area gantry systems capable of managing parts up to 3,000 kg, ensuring flexibility in handling large composite vessels. As demand rises in clean energy and transportation, the company positions its automated filament winding lines as a core enabler of lightweight, high-pressure composite part production.
