Melker of Sweden is excited about the strong market potential for its new ‘Varmdo plant-based bio-composite kayak’ developed in partnership with Amorim, Sicomin, Bcomp, and RISE. This optimism is further enhanced by the recent achievements including winning the Best Sea/Touring Kayak category at the Paddling Magazine Industry Awards in the US and the Paddle Sports Show in Europe, which are significant endorsements from the paddlesports community.

Melker’s CEO & Creative Director Pelle Stafshede states, “We are really proud and honored to receive these important awards and it’s a great acknowledgement of our efforts in making high performance and more sustainable products. It’s a true collective effort, and we’re excited to share it with our highly valuable partners, with whom we’ve enjoyed working together with for many years – but we’re just getting started – bending the conventions as we strive to create a legacy for future generations and a sustainable, impactful business!”
