Gurit (SIX Swiss Exchange: GURN) has signed a
multi-year contract to supply its Corecell structural foam core to the
subsea industry, reinforcing its global footprint and expanding operations in
the Asia-Pacific region. To support this agreement, Gurit will establish
a new facility near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, relocating its
existing distribution operations.
The long-term deal is projected to deliver low to mid
double-digit million CHF in sales within five years, highlighting Gurit s
strategic shift toward diversified growth.
Corecell, Gurit s flagship styrene acrylonitrile
(SAN) resin-based structural core material, was first developed in the
1980s and has since been continuously improved. With a track record of
exceptional performance in demanding applications, it remains the benchmark in
the market.
This major contract marks a significant step in Gurit s
strategic realignment, accelerating our transformation into a dynamic,
multi-market company, said Lance Hill, General Manager Marine &
Industrial at Gurit. It reflects our commitment to diversification beyond
traditional markets and our ability to leverage advanced composites expertise
across industries.
With production and operations spanning Europe,
Asia-Pacific, and the Americas, Gurit continues to strengthen its position as a
leading global supplier of advanced composite materials to the wind,
marine, subsea, and construction sectors.
