Four Motors, the sustainability-driven racing team led by musician Smudo, continues to push the boundaries of green innovation in motorsport. At the 2025 N rburgring 24-hour race, the team has unveiled a major breakthrough: body parts made from flax fiber, a natural alternative to carbon fiber, now feature on their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992).

Developed in collaboration with Swiss cleantech company Bcomp and produced by racing specialists Zimspeed Performance under the patronage of Porsche Motorsport, the gray-tinted natural fiber components are being used on the hood, front flaps, and rear wing end plates. Unlike traditional carbon fiber, flax offers 250% greater vibration damping, improved crash safety due to its non-splintering nature, and significantly lower environmental impact.

Already meeting quality criteria accepted by leading OEMs, these components are finished with high-grade automotive paint instead of typical racing foil wraps, marking a shift towards integrating sustainable materials in future road vehicles.

Four Motors' three Bioconcept Porsches continue to run on E20 fuel, re-refined lubricants, recycled rims, and now, Goodyear tires made with up to 40% sustainable content, cementing their role as pioneers in eco-conscious motorsport.
