Envalior, a global leader in engineering materials, including thermoplastic composites, has unveiled an enhanced sustainability framework under its Envalior CARES strategy, structured around three core pillars Low Carbon, Sustainable Resources, and Social Responsibility. This approach aims to drive industry-wide transformation while supporting customers in their sustainability transitions.

Through Envalior CARES, the company has set ambitious environmental and social goals. Updated Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets now call for a further 35% reduction by 2030 (baseline 2024), building on a 65% reduction already achieved between 2016 and 2024. Initiatives include sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2030, decarbonization projects, and long-term Scope 3 targets.

Under its Sustainable Resources pillar, Envalior will showcase ISCC PLUS-certified bio- and recycled-based materials at K 2025 in D sseldorf. Highlights include sustainable PA6 and PA46 alternatives, such as Durethan ECO, Durethan BLUE, and Stanyl B-MB PA46, offering carbon footprints up to 50% lower than fossil-derived grades without performance trade-offs.

The Social Responsibility pillar emphasizes workforce safety, human rights, and partnerships to advance industry-wide sustainability. Envalior recently signed the ICCA Responsible Care Global Charter and the UN Global Compact, underscoring its commitment to transparency and accountability.

On September 8, Envalior will publish its first Sustainability Report, a milestone ahead of compliance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This report will align with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), providing stakeholders with a clear view of progress in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

Calum MacLean, CEO of Envalior, commented: Our dedication to sustainability isn t just part of our strategy it s part of who we are. We will continue to challenge ourselves, engage stakeholders, and invest in a sustainable future because we believe this is the foundation of lasting success.
