EcoTechnilin, the French leader in biocomposites made from natural fibers such as flax, hemp, jute, kenaf, and Dakkan hemp, has launched its fourth production line in Tychy, Poland. This expansion marks a strategic step to meet the surging demand across Europe for bio-sourced reinforcements, particularly in the automotive and industrial sectors.

The new line increases EcoTechnilin s total production capacity to 12,000 13,000 tonnes per year, significantly enhancing its ability to serve European customers with speed and proximity. Demand for thermoplastic composites reinforced with natural and glass fibers is growing steadily in Europe, the company states, underscoring the strategic importance of this investment.

According to Karim Behlouli, Managing Director of EcoTechnilin, this expansion has been in the pipeline for three years, with its execution timed to coincide with recent contract wins. In recent months, we ve been negotiating very large contracts that could saturate existing facilities. This new line ensures we maintain our capacity and support customer growth, he said.

The Tychy facility is also part of EcoTechnilin s vertical integration strategy, with increased upstream processing capacity for natural fibers to secure raw material supply and offer full traceability, a critical advantage in today's sustainability-driven market.

Adding to its innovation momentum, EcoTechnilin recently developed a new ultra-light 250 g/m glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (GFPP) non-woven material, specifically targeting the sandwich structures market. This new product offers enhanced lightweight performance, opening new opportunities in automotive design and engineering.

With major multi-year supply contracts secured and a reinforced R&D pipeline, EcoTechnilin is well-positioned to capitalize on Europe's growing demand for low-carbon, high-performance materials. The new capacity and technological innovation reinforce the company s leadership in sustainable composites, advancing the shift toward eco-friendly material solutions across key industries.
