Deutsche Aircraft has announced at the Paris Air Show that Aernnova will supply the empennage for the next-generation D328eco regional aircraft, marking a major milestone as the programme completes its roster of primary structure partners for serial production.

Aernnova, a global leader in aerostructures with over 30 years of experience in composite aircraft structures, will deliver build-to-print assemblies comprising the composite empennage, including the horizontal and vertical stabilisers manufactured using advanced composite technologies and the metallic tail cone.

“With more than 30 years of expertise in developing and producing composite aircraft structures, we are proud to contribute to the D328eco programme,” said Ricardo Chocarro, CEO of Aernnova. “We value this new partnership with Deutsche Aircraft and the opportunity to support a next-generation regional aircraft that combines versatility with an innovative design.”

The empennage is a critical structural component, significantly influencing aerodynamic performance and flight stability. Aernnova’s established capabilities in both composite and metallic aerostructures make it ideally suited to this complex role.

“Welcoming Aernnova to the D328eco program is a significant step forward,” remarked Nico Neumann, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft. “With this agreement, we have now secured 100% of our primary structure suppliers. This is a key achievement as we move from development into industrialisation.”

This strategic partnership underscores Deutsche Aircraft’s commitment to delivering a modern, efficient, and competitive regional aircraft. With its full supplier base now confirmed, the D328eco programme is positioned to progress through the next development phases, leveraging the combined industrial expertise and capability of all partners to achieve a successful entry into service, planned for Q4 2027.
