Global large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) leader Caracol
has inaugurated a new 10,000-square-foot U.S. headquarters and production
center in Austin, Texas, more than tripling its local capacity for systems
production and application development.
The expansion strengthens Caracol s long-term commitment to
North America s manufacturing sector by enabling faster delivery, localized
supply chains, and deeper collaboration with customers. Equipped for R&D,
application development and large-scale production, the facility features
assembly and testing areas for Caracol s Heron AM and Vipra AM
robotic platforms, along with a dedicated application hub for co-developing
projects with U.S. manufacturers.
With this new facility, we re moving from presence to
capability, said Francesco De Stefano, CEO of Caracol. It means faster
innovation, closer collaboration and solutions tailored for the North American
market, all while supporting domestic production.
Following 224% growth in systems delivered over the
past year, the Austin site now has the capacity to produce up to 100 Heron
AM and Vipra AM systems annually, operating under ISO 9001, EN 9100 and
ISO 14001 standards to meet aerospace-grade quality and sustainability
requirements.
This expansion marks a strategic milestone for Caracol as it
accelerates innovation, strengthens its North American footprint, and supports
the shift toward advanced domestic manufacturing.
