Toray Industries introduced its new Toray Premium GOUSEN select series, four high-value-added fiber brands engineered via proprietary polymer and composite spinning technologies. These fibers are designed to deliver elevated performance in structural, textile, and advanced composite applications by combining optimized polymer chemistry with next-gen fiber processing.
The four brands are: GIGADULL fiber, which delivers advanced opacity, sun protection, and sweat stain resistance; SPRINGFIT, an eco-friendly stretch fiber; QUUP nylon filament yarn, which enhances apparel comfort; and Lightygram, an exceptionally fine and light nylon fiber.
Toray remains Japan's only manufacturer of all three prime synthetic (polyester, nylon, and acrylic) fibers. A shrinking domestic market and the emergence of overseas rivals have prompted companies in Japan's textile industry to offshore commodity production.
Against that backdrop, Toray will step up global marketing of Toray Premium GOUSEN select as a unique, high-performance fiber brand that is the fruit of its outstanding polymer production and spinning technologies. An excellent example is NANODESIGN conjugate spinning technology, which makes it possible to create previously unattainable cross sections, fineness, and variations.
