Scottish manufacturer Scott & Fyfe has named Waterline Renewal Technologies (WRT) the exclusive distributor of its AlphaShield composite glass fibre cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners across the United States and Canada, effective January 1, 2026. AlphaShield liners, made from high-performance glass fibre textiles with advanced polymer systems, enable trenchless repair of aging water and sewer pipes, minimizing excavation while restoring structural integrity.
Liners will continue to be manufactured in Tayport, Fife, Scotland, but stock will now be held at WRT's North American distribution facilities to cut lead times and improve local support for contractors, municipalities and engineering firms. Roughly 60 kilometres of liner have shipped globally to date, with the majority going to North America—a figure both companies expect to grow under the new agreement.
Executives from both companies described the deal as strengthening their respective growth strategies, with Scott & Fyfe citing the arrangement as an endorsement of Scottish manufacturing that helps safeguard local jobs.
