Scott & Fyfe,
an innovative, employee-owned manufacturing company with expertise in advanced
engineered textile solutions, confirmed a strategic alliance with Waterline Renewal Technologies,
appointing it as the exclusive distributor for its AlphaShield composite glass fibre cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners
across the United States and Canada, effective January 1, 2026.
The AlphaShield range, engineered from high-performance
glass fibre textiles with advanced polymer systems, enables trenchless pipeline
rehabilitation that minimizes excavation and downtime while delivering robust,
leak-resistant structural integrity for aging water and sewer infrastructure.
Under the agreement, AlphaShield liners will be stocked in North America to
reduce lead times and provide enhanced technical support to contractors,
municipalities and engineering firms.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in the
company s global growth strategy and reinforces our long-term commitment to
manufacturing in Tayport, Fife. AlphaShield composite glass fibre liners will
continue to be manufactured in Scotland, with stock held at WRT distribution
facilities across North America to significantly reduce lead times and enhance
local customer support.
AlphaShield technology allows damaged pipeline infrastructure to be repaired without excavation, creating highly durable, leak-resistant pipes while minimizing disruption and extending asset life. Demand for the product continues to grow across globally, with ~60 kilometres of liner currently shipped to around the globe, with the majority heading to the North American market a figure Scott & Fyfe expects to increase substantially through this new agreement.
David Williams, CEO at Waterline Renewal Technologies, said: Scott & Fyfe has set the standard for performance, reliability and innovation in fiberglass-based CIPP solutions. This exclusive relationship is a powerful milestone for us and underscores our commitment to providing the highest quality products to contractors, municipalities and engineering firms across North America. With Scott & Fyfe s advanced materials and our market-leading service, we are raising the bar for the entire trenchless pipe rehabilitation industry.
Michelle Quadrelli, Managing Director, said: We are delighted to formalise our relationship with Waterline Renewal Technologies through this strategic partnership. It strengthens our ability to serve a wider and growing North American customer base with shorter lead times and more responsive local support, while ensuring our customers continue to receive the high-performance solutions they expect.
This agreement supports our long-term growth and export ambitions and is a strong endorsement of Scottish manufacturing. It will help safeguard jobs here in Tayport and enable us to grow our production capabilities as demand increases. Having worked closely with WRT for several years, we know they bring deep product knowledge, strong technical expertise, and a genuine commitment to customer service.
Effective January 1, 2026, Waterline Renewal Technologies will begin offering our full range of AlphaShield CIPP liner solutions for both mainline and lateral rehabilitation through its established distribution network across the United States and Canada. This partnership further strengthens our global footprint while reaffirming our commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable infrastructure solutions worldwide.
