Michelin, one of the world's leading manufacturers of composites, has agreed to acquire Cooley Group and Tex Tech Industries in two separate cash transactions expected to close in H1 2026.
Cooley Group, headquartered in Rhode Island, is a manufacturer of coated fabrics celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. Tex Tech Industries, based in Maine and founded in 1904, is a producer of specialty textiles.
The two acquisitions are expected to boost Michelin's composites segment revenue by approximately 20%, representing around $280 million USD in combined additional revenue.
Michelin has announced the creation of a new dedicated reporting segment to house its growing polymer composite solutions business following the acquisitions.
