Kuraray America showcased its advanced fiber technologies at CAMX 2026, highlighting the performance and application potential of VECTRAN™, KURALON™, and KURALON K-II™ fibers. The company presented the materials to composites and advanced materials professionals at the event in Atlanta.
Kuraray America participated in CAMX 2026 from September 21 to 24 at the Georgia World Congress Center. At Booth B30, the company's Advanced Materials team discussed technical requirements and application challenges with visitors from across the composites and advanced materials industries.
Among the technologies highlighted was VECTRAN™ fiber, which combines high strength and modulus with dimensional stability, flex-fold fatigue resistance, and thermal properties. These characteristics make the fiber suitable for applications requiring a combination of mechanical performance and dimensional stability.
Kuraray also presented KURALON™ fiber, a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber offering high tensile strength and alkali resistance. The material is used in applications including construction and fiber-reinforced materials.
KURALON K-II™ extends Kuraray's PVA fiber portfolio with water-soluble grades for specialized applications. The technology provides material designers with additional options where controlled water solubility is required.
The three fiber technologies are part of Kuraray America's Industrial Fibers portfolio. Their properties support applications across different industries, ranging from fiber-reinforced materials to specialized industrial structures and components.
Kuraray America's CAMX participation provided an opportunity to discuss the application potential of its fiber technologies with manufacturers and material specialists. The company also highlighted the technologies earlier in 2026 at Techtextil North America, continuing its focus on advanced fiber solutions for industrial and composite applications.
