Avel Robotics has signed a development contract with AURA AERO to support the ERA (Electric Regional Aircraft) program an initiative that is rapidly gaining attention for its hybrid-electric architecture and heavy reliance carbon composite structural components.

A pioneer in decarbonized aviation, AURA AERO designs and manufactures aircraft aimed at accelerating the decarbonization of air transport. By combining aerospace engineering excellence with advanced digital technologies, the company develops next-generation aircraft with outstanding efficiency.

Its aircraft family includes INTEGRAL, a two-seat training aircraft available in four versions (R for aerobatics and leisure flying, S for training, each also available in an electric version), and ERA, the 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft designed to achieve up to 80% reduction in CO emissions compared to conventional aircraft.

Avel Robotics, a manufacturer of structural composite components initially recognized in offshore racing, is known for its ability to combine performance, innovation and sustainability. Since 2019, the company has been pursuing a diversification strategy and has progressively expanded its activities into the aerospace and defence sectors. Today, this strategy translates into a significant industrial scale-up.

In 2025, Avel Robotics made major investments to strengthen its production capabilities:

    • Expansion and full reorganization of its composite workshop
    • Integration of a new Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) robot
    • Commissioning of a large industrial curing oven
    • Deployment of new machining and inspection equipment
    • Optimization of production workflows

This investment plan will continue through 2026 and 2027 to support the industrialization of the ERA program and ramp up production.
