Against the backdrop of Lake Como, the JEC Forum Italy welcomed 403 participants, including 127 accredited buyers and representatives from 19 countries, for two days of business exchange and technical insight on 11-12 June. Organized in partnership with Assocompositi and supported by sponsors such as FK Group and Hera's FIB3R, the event facilitated 1,111 business meetings generating 1,916 supplier leads, marking the 20th anniversary of Assocompositi.
The Forum featured 21 expert speakers and a rich program of presentations. Highlights included Bercella's Tool4Life project, which reimagines composite tooling with hybrid thermoplastics and additive manufacturing to cut energy use by 33% and CO2 emissions by over 90%, and Antefil Composite Tech's thermoplastic-coated glass fiber technology, eliminating separate impregnation and curing stages.
The second day focused on transport innovation, with HP Composites unveiling carbon flax hybrid structures for motorsport and automotive applications under stricter environmental rules, and Production Group presenting composite VHST side skirts that are lighter, corrosion-resistant, and easier to maintain than aluminium versions.
On the show floor, 69 supplying companies including Cobat, Isomatex, 3A Composites Core Materials, and Herambiente's FIB3R displayed next-generation processing systems, sustainable fibers, recycled carbon solutions, and award-winning products like the Thermhex and Diehl Eco luggage hold, recipient of the Crystal Cabin Award.
