Composites UK, in collaboration with the British Plastics Federation (BPF), has announced a one-day event titled – “Thermoplastic Composites 2025: Strategies and Innovations for Reducing Costs, Carbon Emissions and Waste.” The event is scheduled to take place on 18 November 2025 at ENGEL’s state-of-the-art production facility in Leamington Spa.

This single-day conference will unite a diverse group of industry leaders, technical experts, and sustainability champions to discuss the revolutionary power of thermoplastic composites in shaping more circular, efficient, and climate-resilient production methods across industries.

The organizers are now seeking speaker proposals to create an engaging and useful programme of technical presentations and case studies that will address:

    • Lightweighting technologies and carbon emissions reduction strategies
    • Recycling, reuse, and end-of-life solutions for thermoplastics
    • Innovations in processing, automation, and hybrid materials
    • Cost optimization through process innovation and material
    • Cross-sectoral solutions for automotive, aerospace, and other associated sectors

With an increased focus on circular economy and net-zero ambitions, thermoplastic composites bring unique strength, reusability, and design flexibility. This conference will highlight how these materials are reshaping manufacturing by making production cleaner and more flexible.

Thermoplastic Composites 2025 is designed for materials engineers, OEMs, product designers, composite producers, environmentalists, and R&D professionals looking for actionable insight and collaborative potential.

Marketing and Communications Manager for Composites UK, Claire Whysall, added: "As sustainability becomes increasingly a commercial imperative, thermoplastic composites are playing game-changing roles. This conference will provide attendees with a clear overview of where the industry is going and how to become part of it."

Paul Baxter, the British Plastics Federation's Events Manager, said: "This highly established event will discuss overcoming a multitude of challenges ahead, as it showcases the crucial role that thermoplastic composites can play in the pursuit of sustainability. We invite anyone with an interest in seeing the latest developments in thermoplastic composites to come and join us."
