CompPair has introduced HealTech, a repair technology built into semi-finished composite materials used in Liquid Composite Moulding and prepreg processes. When heated to 100-150°C, HealTech repairs matrix microcracks in situ within one to two minutes, restoring full mechanical performance without added weight or extra labor, and the company says it applies across sports, mobility and aerospace uses.
Beyond microcracks, HealTech is also designed to address delamination, a more serious failure mode that compromises load transfer. Using the same rapid thermal activation, components can reportedly be repaired on-site and returned to service quickly rather than undergoing manual patching or lengthy secondary repair processes. A CompPair spokesperson described the technology as a practical step toward making circular composite manufacturing more achievable, offering an alternative to conventional repair methods that tend to be slower and more resource-intensive.
